Descripción general del producto

What Is an Integrated Sand Washing & Fine Sand Recovery Machine?

The XSHJX integrated sand washing and fine sand recovery machine combines three process stages – wheel sand washing, hydrocyclone fine-sand separation, and vibrating dewatering – into a single pre-assembled unit. Conventional aggregate washing lines lose 8–20% of the sub-0.3 mm fraction to the overflow stream and settling pond; the XSHJX captures this material, dewaters it, and discharges it as a saleable fine-sand product alongside the washed coarse sand.

Five standard models (XSHJX-2630 through XSHJX-3070) serve capacities from 20 t/h in small quarry or recycling applications up to 180 t/h in high-output aggregate plants, with fine-sand recovery outputs from 1 t/h to 20 t/h. The single-frame design eliminates the inter-unit pipework, separate foundations, and additional pump stations that a multi-machine equivalent would require, significantly reducing installation area and civil cost.

Características principales y ventajas

  • Three-in-One Integrated Design

The XSHJX combines a wheel sand washer, hydrocyclone fine-sand recovery unit, and dewatering vibrating screen on a single structural frame. Eliminating the separate pipework and civils required to connect standalone units reduces installation area, civil cost, and commissioning time compared to equivalent multi-machine lines.

    Three-in-One Integrated Design
  • Hydrocyclone Fine-Sand Recovery

Overflow wash water from the wheel washer - carrying sub-0.15 mm fine sand that would otherwise be lost to the settling pond - is pressurized by the slurry pump and fed to the hydrocyclone battery. The cyclone separates fine sand from slurry water by centrifugal force and discharges the concentrated underflow onto the dewatering screen, recovering 1–20 t/h of saleable fine aggregate depending on model.

    Hydrocyclone Fine-Sand Recovery
  • High-Frequency Dewatering Vibrating Screen

The linear-motion dewatering screen operates at high frequency to drain moisture from both the coarse washed sand and the recovered fine sand simultaneously. Discharged product typically reaches 12–18% surface moisture - stackable and conveyable without further drying in most climates.

    High-Frequency Dewatering Vibrating Screen
  • Adjustable Overflow Weir & Cyclone Pressure

Operators independently adjust the wheel-washer overflow weir height and the hydrocyclone feed pump pressure to tune the coarse-product fineness modulus and fine-sand recovery rate across a wide range of feed gradations without stopping the machine.

  • Compact Footprint, Single-Point Connection

All five models fit within a 6300 mm × 2686 mm plan footprint. Feed, discharge, power, and water connections are pre-routed to standardized single-point locations on the frame, accelerating site hook-up and simplifying relocation between quarry benches or project sites.

What Is the Working Principle of the Integrated Sand Washing & Fine Sand Recovery Machine?

Feed material enters the wheel washer tub through the feed chute. The rotating impeller agitates the sand through wash water, releasing clay, silt, and organic impurities. Washed coarse sand is lifted by the impeller buckets, drained, and discharged onto the dewatering screen above. Contaminated overflow water - carrying the sub-0.3 mm fine-sand fraction and clay - exits the washer tub and drops into the sump below the unit.

The slurry pump draws the overflow from the sump and pressurizes it to the hydrocyclone battery. Inside each cyclone, centrifugal force stratifies the slurry: fine sand concentrates in the underflow and discharges downward onto the dewatering screen; clarified water exits through the vortex finder at the cyclone top and routes back to the settling system. On the dewatering screen, both the washed coarse sand (from the wheel washer) and the recovered fine sand (from the cyclone underflow) are simultaneously dewatered by the high-frequency linear-motion vibrating mechanism. The two products discharge separately or blend to a combined output conveyor depending on the plant layout. Clarified screen-drain water recirculates to the wash-water tank.

FAQ

How does the XSHJX differ from buying a wheel washer and a fine-sand recovery unit separately?

A separate wheel washer and fine-sand recovery unit require independent civil foundations, inter-unit pipework and pumping, separate electrical panels, and a qualified installer to align and commission two machines. The XSHJX ships as a pre-assembled, pre-piped, pre-wired unit on a single frame – civil works are limited to a flat concrete pad and anchor bolts, and commissioning typically completes in one to two days. For plants where downtime and site complexity are key concerns, the integrated machine is the standard recommendation.

What happens to the water discharged from the dewatering screen?

The dewatering screen discharges clarified overflow water back to the wash-water tank for recirculation, and discharges a small volume of slurry – carrying sub-75 µm ultrafines – to the settling pond. The hydrocyclone overflow (very fine clay and water) also routes to the pond. For sites with tight discharge consent limits, a flocculation dosing system on the pond feed is recommended to accelerate settlement.

Can the fine-sand recovery rate be adjusted without stopping the machine?

Yes. The slurry pump speed (where a VFD is fitted) and the cyclone feed pressure together control the cut size and underflow density. Raising pump pressure recovers finer material; lowering it reduces fine-sand output and increases clarified overflow clarity. The wheel-washer weir height adjusts independently to set the coarse product’s fines content. All adjustments are made while the machine is running.

Is On-site Commissioning Support Available?

Remote commissioning support via video call is included at no charge. On-site engineer dispatch is available as an optional paid service — lead time and cost depend on location. Please discuss before purchase.
